Over the years, we have seen a number of modified Volkswagen Polos which have claimed that they are the fastest in India. However, this particular Polo, which has recently been shown in a detailed walkaround video, has managed to become the fastest Polo not just in India but in the entire WORLD. What makes it the fastest Polo in the world, you may ask? Well, it makes 646 bhp and 789 Nm of torque.
This video explaining all the modifications done on this particular Volkswagen Polo to make it the most powerful has been shared on YouTube by The Drivers Hub on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that this particular Polo, which has been named “Shadow,” is the fastest Polo in the world, following which he starts listing all the upgrades which have been done to make it the fastest.

First off, the host mentions that they have brought the vehicle to the dyno to test its capabilities. The video then shows it getting strapped down on the dyno and starting doing power pulls. During the testing, the host then highlights that they unfortunately did not bring the correct fuel to extract its complete power figures.
However, despite this, in the runs that were performed, it managed to provide a maximum power output of 646 bhp and 789 Nm of torque on the crank. Now, the wheel horsepower figures will be slightly less due to the drivetrain losses. But despite these losses, the power figures are insane because this vehicle does not weigh as much as a stock Polo.
Thanks to these power gains, this particular Volkswagen Polo can reach from 0–100 kmph in just 2.55 seconds, which is as quick as the quad turbocharged Bugatti Chiron. Additionally, it completes the quarter-mile run in just 9.8 seconds, which is as quick as many supercars that cost 10 times this vehicle.

What helps this Polo in putting down such insane numbers is its reduced weight. This particular car, on the outside, gets a carbon fiber bonnet with heat dissipation vents and an external wastegate. It also gets carbon fiber fenders, R-Line front and rear bumpers, doors, and bootlid.
Also, the headlight on the right has been replaced with a carbon fiber plate, and the one on the left has a custom air intake. Only the roof and the rear quarter panels on this vehicle are not carbon fiber. Additionally, the glass windows have been replaced with plexiglass as well.

Now, coming to the modifications done on this particular Polo’s mechanical side of things, it has been given a Volkswagen Gen 2 EA888 2.0-litre TSI engine. Its internal upgrades include forged pistons, strengthened connecting rods, and a reinforced crankshaft. This engine has been built to withstand up to 1,000 horsepower.
Other notable highlights include a Garrett GTX3076R turbo and an external wastegate setup. This ensures that the vehicle has precise boost management, reduced turbo stress, and consistently delivers power. Also, the stock transmission has been replaced with a DQ250 DSG, custom gear ratios optimized for drag racing, RTMG flywheel and clutch system, and a Haldex all-wheel-drive system to put down all this power.

On the inside, all seats except for the driver seat have been removed, the entire interior has been gutted, and a custom roll cage, a tablet, and a MaxxECU standalone ECU have been added, and the car has been tuned by Anjo Motorsports (Germany). Overall, this particular Polo is the most purpose-built Polo in the world, and its sole purpose is to crush anything that stands beside it on the start line of a drag race.
