Venu Gopalakrishnan, CEO of the tech company Litmus7, has recently been creating massive headlines with his multi-crore supercar/ luxury car shopping spree. After purchasing the likes of a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, India's first Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II Black Badge, and Kerala’s first Lamborghini Revuelto, the CEO has now added a brand-new BMW M4 CS performance sedan to his garage. The M4 CS has an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.89 crore. Images and videos of the CEO taking delivery of the car have now surfaced. Soon after receiving it, Venu gave his new M4 CS a proper taste of the asphalt at Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam.
Venu Gopalakrishnan received the car at Kari Motor Speedway. Photos show him taking delivery of the car within the track premises. The entrepreneur has opted for the ‘Riviera Blue’ colour. The M4 CS comes in three other colours as well- M Brooklyn Grey Metallic, Frozen Isle of Man Green, and Black Sapphire Metallic.

BMW EVM Autokraft Limited, a dealer in Kochi, commenced this delivery. Talking about the same, the dealer said that this is the seventh M4CS that the group has sold. Interestingly, it has reached the garage of Venu, who has a special affinity for the number 7. He considers it an identity of his garage and even paid Rs 46 lakh for a number plate that reads ‘KL 07 DG 0007’, that now sits on his Urus.
After receiving the keys, the family poses for pictures with the new car and heads to the track for some actual fun. He is joined by several other BMWs there.
It remains unclear if this track day was organised by BMW India or the dealer. We can see both customer-owned BMW performance models and those with Trade certificate (TC) plates having fun on the track. Cars with TC plates are likely owned by the brand, used for giving proper experiences to potential customers.
BMW India often conducts such events in various parts of India to give buyers and enthusiasts a proper taste of their performance cars and SUVs.

BMW launched the M4 CS in October last year. In its performance portfolio, the M4CS sits above the M4 Competition, priced at Rs 1.5 Crore, ex-showroom. ‘CS’ Expands to ‘Competition Sport’ and has a price premium of around 36 lakh over the regular Competition variant. This is justified by the mechanical changes and a clear performance advantage. It was the first ‘CS’ model to go on sale here.
Under its hood, the M4 CS houses the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine from the M4 Competition. It is, however, in a higher state of tune, capable of producing 550hp (20hp gain) and 650 Nm ( same torque as the standard M4).
The higher power is brought about by increasing the turbo boost pressure (1.7 bar on the Standard M4, 2.1bar on the CS). Furthermore, the peak torque can be accessed from 2,750 rpms onwards on the CS. The car also comes with an improved cooling system, stiffer engine mounts, and increased oil supply to the clutch for longer track sessions.

The M4 CS comes with all-wheel-drive tech and is 20 kilos lighter than the standard M4. The use of a Titanium exhaust and carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) components has brought about the weight savings. The wheels-19-inchers at the front and 20-inch units at the rear- are lighter as well. The CS can do the 0-100kph sprint in just 3.4 seconds (0.1 seconds quicker than the Competition), and has a top speed of 302kph. The Adaptive M suspension comes standard on this model.

The M4 CS looks as sporty and wild as it feels to drive one. The DRLs get a Yellow tint, the grille gets Red outline, and the wheels feature a Bronze finish. Inside, the head-up display gets M-spec graphics and the centre console has dedicated M-spec buttons. The flat-bottom Alcantara M steering wheel which was an optional extra on the Competition, is standard on the CS. The M Carbon bucket seats feature M-spec seat belts with ‘CS’ lettering on them.
