Most people today are still not convinced that electric cars can hold up long-term usage. However, to prove such people wrong, recently a video has been shared online. In this video, a Tata Nexon EV owner gives his candid opinion on his electric SUV after driving it over 1.4 lakh km in just 4 years. He highlights all the positives, negatives, and other thoughts on the ownership of this SUV. The owner also gives the reasons why he has now also bought and upgraded to a Mahindra BE 6 electric SUV.
The video of the Tata Nexon EV ownership review after 1.4 lakh km has been shared on YouTube by EVolution Nick on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger introducing the owner of the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra BE 6. He first asks him about his background and then asks about his cars. To this, he replies that he works in the construction industry and has to travel a lot each day. Due to this, back in 2021, he bought the Tata Nexon EV XZ Plus variant.

Following this introduction, the vlogger then starts asking the owner about the mileage, battery, and other essential details. To this, he replies that since 2021, in four years, he has changed the battery twice. The first battery change took place at around 97,000 km. He then added that in January of this year, the second battery was added, which has done 28,000 km and currently has 99.3 percent battery health.
The owner then elaborates that the first battery pack would reach about 29 percent and then go into limp mode, and then the car would stop working at 27 percent. As for the current battery pack, the limp mode starts at 25 percent, and by 23 percent it dies completely. The vlogger then asks him about the range of the Nexon EV after two battery changes. To this, he replies that he is getting around 200 km of range.

He highlighted that every day he returns home with 40 percent charge and then recharges it to 100 percent for the next day overnight. Following this, the vlogger questions the ownership experience of Tata Motors’ product. To this, he replies that he loves the product, which is the Nexon EV. However, he does not trust Tata Motors as a brand.
The owner explained that the after-sales service of Tata Motors is very bad. He mentions that the air-conditioning system of his Nexon EV was not functioning properly, so he took it to three different dealerships, which all could not rectify the issue. They would just top up the gas and tell him that the AC is fixed. However, at last, the problem was found in the cooling coil, which was then changed.
Finally, the vlogger asked him about the cost of repairs and service over the years. To this, the owner replies that he has spent around Rs 3 lakh in total. Both of the headlights were changed under warranty, and some other costs were added. As for the tyres, he mentions that the first set lasted him 70,000 km, and currently he is running his second set. Overall, he mentions that he is fully satisfied with the Nexon EV.

Following the ownership review of the Tata Nexon EV, the vlogger asked the owner about his upgrade to the Mahindra BE 6. To this, the owner replies that he bought the Mahindra BE 6 EV as earlier he only used to drive in the city and nearby areas. However, as he now has to go on longer journeys, he wanted a vehicle with more range and better performance. The owner also highlighted that he is very happy with the BE 6 as well and would never go back to ICE vehicles.
