Indian roads are filled with surprises, and navigating them is not everyone’s cup of tea. We have seen many foreign tourists struggle in India when they get behind the wheel. In India, the majority of commuters still use two-wheelers, and these are often ridden recklessly. Such behaviour frequently leads to accidents on the road. Here we have two such incidents captured on video where reckless riding resulted in accidents.
The video has been shared by Prateek Singh on his YouTube channel. The clips were sent to him by his followers, and in the video, he explains how important it has become for car owners to install dash cams to avoid getting into trouble.
In the first video, we see a Tata Nexon driver travelling on a two-lane road in a not-so-busy village in Chhattisgarh. The owner was driving calmly through the village road, and there were hardly any vehicles around.
The Nexon was in its lane, and the driver wasn’t speeding. From a distance, we see a bike approaching from the opposite direction. However, the bike was not in its own lane and was heading straight towards the Nexon. As the car got closer, the driver realised that the biker was distracted by his phone and did not have both hands on the handlebar.
It appeared that the rider was scrolling through his phone while riding. The car driver tried his best to move away, but there was not much space on the left side of the road. By this time, the biker realised he was no longer in his lane and also noticed the Nexon.
We then see the biker frantically trying to regain control and steer away to avoid a crash. He managed to turn the handlebar away from the car and, fortunately, missed it, avoiding a collision. Had the biker crashed, he could have been seriously injured, especially since he was not wearing a helmet.

In the next incident, we see a car entering a metro station parking area in Mumbai. The car was moving slowly, and the driver engaged the indicator to make a right turn. We then see a delivery rider on a scooter coming from the opposite direction. Instead of slowing down, the delivery agent crashed straight into the car. He was thrown into the air, and the scooter’s rear end also lifted upon impact.
This accident was clearly caused by the rider’s negligence. When questioned, he even made the excuse that he was getting late for a delivery, which was the reason for his haste. In both cases, the cars had dash cams installed.
Without this footage, it would have been easy for the riders to blame the car drivers, as such situations are common on Indian roads. Dash cam footage in such cases can be used as evidence to prove a driver’s innocence and help them get out of such difficult situations. This also shows how dangerous Indian roads are why it is necessary to stay alert to avoid such accidents.
