Over the last few years, Tata Motors has managed to make a big name for itself when it comes to vehicle safety. It has become synonymous with safe cars and, recently, once again proving the above statement, a video has been shared online. In this video, a Tata Harrier managed to keep its occupants safe despite crashing into a massive billboard at around 120 kmph.
The video showing the aftermath of this particular Tata Harrier crash has been shared on YouTube by Paras P. Saraswat on their page. Although the video has not mentioned where it took place, the vehicle is registered in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, which suggests that it might have taken place in Ujjain.
Now, in this short clip, the vlogger states that the vehicle is a Tata Harrier and that on top of it is a billboard which weighs a few tonnes. Next up, he points out that this particular billboard was not present at the spot where the vehicle is currently parked. Rather, he shows the spot which was around 25–30 meters away where it was actually installed.

He then narrates that this vehicle crashed into the billboard and managed to drag it to the spot where it currently is. Soon after this, he mentions that most likely the speed of the vehicle was around 120 kmph, as the impact has completely destroyed the front end of this SUV. It can be seen in the video that the front bumper, headlights, cooling system, bonnet, and fenders have been damaged.
Additionally, there is a lot of oil on the ground, which most likely is engine oil. The owner highlights that despite the severity of the crash, the Harrier managed to keep its driver safe. Also, he adds that the body structure of the vehicle is very strong, as it kept the broken billboard on it for a while.

The current Tata Harrier was the first car assessed by Bharat NCAP. It managed to achieve 30.08 points out of 32 in adult protection. Additionally, it also scored 44.54 out of 49 points in child occupant protection. Overall, it managed to score a perfect 5-star safety rating. It also scored five stars in Global NCAP as well.
As for the safety features, the Tata Harrier is offered with seven airbags, Level 2 ADAS, hill-hold control, three-point seat belts with reminders for all passengers, and more. Apart from these, the Harrier also comes loaded with technology features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, LED ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and many others.

The Tata Harrier earlier was only offered with a 2.0-litre diesel motor which makes 170 bhp and 350 Nm. Recently, the company has also launched the new Harrier petrol as well. This particular model comes equipped with the company’s newest 1.5-litre Hyperion TGDi turbo petrol engine.
This four-cylinder motor is capable of making 170 PS and 280 Nm of torque and is offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox. Pricing of the Harrier starts at Rs 14.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 29.22 lakh.
