sacrifice things in their lives so that they can provide more for their family. We have come across several instances on the internet where people from very humble backgrounds finally buy a new or used car after saving for years. Here, we have one such video where a son surprised his father, who has been riding a two-wheeler all his life, with a brand-new Tata Punch SUV.
The videos and images have been posted by Satyam Pandey on his X profile. The social media user had posted earlier that he was going to surprise his father with a new car very soon. His first post said, “My father has only driven a two-wheeler all his life. His current Hero Honda Splendor is 14 years old and is barely usable. All his life (and even now), he sacrificed his comfort to save a few more bucks for us and give us a better life.
Well, that changes tomorrow. He doesn’t know this yet, but I am bringing our first family car home tomorrow :)”
In the second post, we see Satyam share images and videos of his car after he brought it home. The reaction of his parents, especially his father, was priceless, and it was very evident in the video that he was not expecting anything like this from his son.

We see him trying hard to hold back his excitement and remain composed, as most Indian dads do. When the key fob was handed over to him, he was initially unsure of what was happening. He was confused and kept asking, “What is this?” It took him some time to realize that his son had just gifted him a brand-new car.
Not just any car, but a Tata Punch. It is actually one of the best sellers from Tata Motors in the market. The SUV was launched back in 2021, and since then, it has created a space for itself. It now falls under the micro SUV segment because of its muscular looks and tall-boy design.
It is available in both ICE as well as EV forms. The car seen here in the post is the ICE version. The exact variant is not mentioned in the post, but it is clearly not the top-end variant.
The Tata Punch is offered with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates around 86 Bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. Tata is also offering a CNG version of the SUV, which uses the same engine and generates 72 Bhp and 103 Nm of peak torque. The Tata Punch petrol is available with both manual and AMT gearbox options.
The major reason why many people are buying the Tata Punch is because of its SUV-like looks. It is the entry-level SUV from Tata and also offers a decent number of features, including a 5-star rating in crash tests. We hope Satyam and his family have a wonderful experience and create many more memories in their new car.
