Rolls-Royce cars are considered the epitome of luxury. We have seen several rich businessmen and celebrities own this expensive car. People who usually own a Rolls-Royce take good care of it. However, we have come across several videos and images on the internet where people were seen repairing expensive cars like these at roadside workshops. Here we have one such video where a Rolls-Royce Ghost, which was once worth crores, is seen coming out of a local garage using a makeshift ramp.
The video has been shared by Imran Khan on his Instagram page. The exact location of this clip is not known, but the registration of the Rolls-Royce Ghost is from Delhi. We are assuming that the video was actually recorded somewhere in or around Delhi. The video shows a white-coloured Rolls-Royce Ghost being driven out of a small garage or workshop. There are flowers and garlands on the front bumper of the car. It is quite possible that the car was on its way to some function.
In North India, hiring expensive cars for occasions like marriages is a common thing. Finding cars like Bentley and Rolls-Royce at such marriage parties is not a big deal anymore. Rolls-Royce cars like these are available in the used car market for less than half of their original price, and many people actually buy such cars and use them for rental services.
It is possible that the Rolls-Royce Ghost seen here was one such car. In the video, we see the car coming out of the garage, which directly opens onto the road. There is no proper ramp for the car. In order to drive it out, the owner has actually made a makeshift ramp using interlocking bricks.
If you watch the video carefully, you will see that the bricks are arranged in such a manner that they can be removed when not needed. For anyone who loves cars, this is a nerve-racking sight, as even a small mistake could leave the multi-crore Rolls-Royce with a damaged underbody, and it could also get beached.
This is not the first time we have come across a video like this online. In another video, a white-coloured Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II luxury sedan was seen parked outside a local shop in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area. The car was at the workshop to get its tyres changed. It was tilted on one side because the mechanic was using a regular jack instead of a lift.
Not just Rolls-Royce - we have also seen images of a Bentley Bentayga getting repaired at a roadside workshop in Mumbai. Many of them do it because taking it to the authorised service center or dealership is a time and money consuming process.
The car seen here in the video is a Rolls-Royce Ghost. It is powered by a 6.6-litre V12 petrol engine that generates 562 bhp and 780 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an automatic transmission.
