Ratan Tata played a crucial role in transforming the Tata Group into a globally recognised brand. In fact, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Ratan Tata shaped Tata into what it is today. The visionary businessman and philanthropist passed away last year. Like many wealthy businessmen in the country, Ratan Tata also had a refined taste in automobiles and owned an impressive collection of imported and exotic cars.
Recently, a few cars from late Ratan Tata’s personal collection were displayed to the public at the 2026 edition of the Modern Classic Rally.
The video has been shared by CS12 CVLogs on his YouTube channel. In the video, we see four cars from Ratan Tata’s collection showcased at a dedicated pavilion. This section of the classic and exotic car show, organised in Mumbai, was exclusively dedicated to Mr. Ratan Tata. The four cars displayed include a Ferrari California, Pontiac Firebird, Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, and a Lincoln Continental.
It is evident that Ratan Tata had a soft corner for convertibles, and this preference is clearly reflected in his collection.

The first car on display is a Ferrari California hardtop convertible, finished in Ferrari’s signature red shade. In the video, the car is seen with its roof closed. In the past, several images and videos have surfaced showing Ratan Tata driving this car on public roads.
The Ferrari California is powered by a 4.3-litre V8 engine that produces 490 bhp and 504 Nm of peak torque, making it a proper performance-oriented sports car.

The Pontiac Firebird 400 is one of the more rarely seen cars from Ratan Tata’s collection. The red Firebird featured in the video is a classic American muscle car with a two-door convertible layout, and it appears to be in pristine condition.
This iconic muscle car is likely powered by a 6.6-litre V8 engine, producing approximately 345 PS and 580 Nm of torque.
Another American classic in the collection is the Chevrolet Corvette C4 Convertible. The car is finished in a shade of red and features a light brown soft top. Chrome wheels can also be seen in the video, adding to its classic appeal.

The Corvette C4 was powered by a 5.7-litre V8 engine, producing outputs ranging from 205 bhp to 405 bhp, with torque figures between 390 Nm and 580 Nm. It was offered with both manual and automatic transmission options.

The Lincoln Continental in the collection represents classic American luxury. Often described as an “American yacht,” this car was focused entirely on offering supreme comfort to its occupants. It was massive on the outside and extremely spacious on the inside.
The Lincoln Continental seen here is the fourth-generation model, which was offered with multiple V8 engine options, including 7.0-litre, 7.5-litre, and 7.6-litre units. The exact specifications of the car displayed in the video are not known. All variants were paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission.
