Everyone likes a gift. Lately, we have been seeing a trend among people where they are gifting cars and bikes to their loved ones. We have come across several videos and images of such events on various social media platforms. Here we have one such incident from Rajasthan, where a man not only gifted a brand-new Audi RS Q8 to his son but also spent another Rs 31 lakh on a fancy number plate.
The images and videos of the father-son duo have been circulating on social media for quite some time now. Rahul Taneja is a wealthy businessman who comes from a very humble background. He started as a cycle mechanic, and after years of hard work and dedication, he has made it big and is not shying away from sharing the fruits of his labour with his loved ones.
He recently bought a brand-new Audi RS Q8 SUV for his son. That itself is a huge purchase, as the performance SUV would have cost him over Rs 2.5 crore. He not only gifted his son a new car but also spent additional money on a fancy number plate. As per reports, he spent around Rs 31 lakh to get the number “RJ60 CM 0001” for the new SUV.
If you have been a regular reader on our website, you would know that Rahul Taneja didn’t buy the number just for his son. In fact, he has multiple cars in his garage, and almost all of them have the “0001” fancy number. The reason he has the same number for all his vehicles is that he believes in numerology and feels that the number 1 is lucky for him.

He owns a Jaguar XJ L and a BMW 5 Series. He spent around Rs 16 lakh and Rs 10.3 lakh for the fancy numbers of his Jaguar and BMW, respectively. He also owns a 1996 model scooter, which has a fancy number too.
The Audi RS Q8 is a much more powerful and sportier version of the regular Q8 SUV. Both SUVs look similar, with minor cosmetic changes in the performance version. For example, the RS Q8 gets a honeycomb grille finished in black, larger air intakes on the front bumper, and so on. Audi also offers LED Matrix technology for the headlamps, and some of the elements are made from carbon fibre.
The wing mirrors are made of carbon fibre, and the wheels are 23-inch units that come with customisation options. Not just the wheels - the rear OLED tail lamps can also be customised, with C-shaped air outlets right below. Just like the front, we also see a honeycomb pattern on the rear bumper, and it gets sporty exhaust tips. The bumper of the car has an aggressive and sporty design too.
The interior of the Audi RS Q8 looks sporty and comes with a cabin theme that complements the exterior look. The Audi RS Q8 gets premium features like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, round steering wheel, large touchscreen infotainment screen, leather and Alcantara seats, a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, 4-zone climate control, individually adjustable and reclinable rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, and much more.
Coming to the engine and transmission, the Audi RS Q8 gets a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that generates 640 PS and 850 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 48V mild-hybrid system, which helps the SUV achieve 0–100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. This luxury SUV has a top speed of 305 km/h.
It rivals the likes of the Lamborghini Urus SE and Porsche Cayenne GTS and costs around Rs 2.5 crore (ex-showroom).
