Olympic Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra Arrives Home For Diwali In Audi RSQ8 [Video]
Diwali is one of the most important festivals for most Indian people. On this auspicious day, people working in different cities go back to their hometowns to celebrate the festival of lights. Among these people, one name is that of the Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra. Recently, he shared a video in which he was seen reaching his home in his brand-new Audi RSQ8 super SUV for Diwali.
The video showing Neeraj Chopra driving his Audi RSQ8 to his village for Diwali has been shared on Instagram by his official page. In this short clip, the Olympic gold-winning javelin thrower is seen driving his Audi RSQ8 SUV and reaching his home in Khandra village in the Panipat district of Haryana. During the drive, Chopra says, “The fun of reaching home is something completely else.”
Following this, the video shows the scenic views of his village and him being cheered by the children who live around his home. He is seen stopping his SUV and shaking hands with these kids. Soon after this, he reaches his home, and his brother, who is standing at the main door to welcome him, gives him a tight hug.
In the voiceover, Neeraj Chopra states that he waits for this moment of coming back home all year long. He adds that meeting family members and enjoying the sweets during the Diwali festivities is true happiness. He can then be seen meeting his family members and lighting diyas. Finally, he celebrates Diwali with his family and concludes the video with the Audi RSQ8 in the background.
Neeraj Chopra has opted for the beautiful shade of Daytona Grey Pearl Effect. He has also chosen gloss black alloy wheels. This latest-generation Audi RSQ8 was launched earlier this year in February with a price tag of ₹2.49 crore. It cannot be denied that it is a huge sum of money.
However, for those who may not be aware, the Audi RSQ8 is essentially a Lamborghini Urus that has been toned down a bit to fit the Audi brand image. It shares the exact same powertrain and features as the Lamborghini Urus. The Audi RSQ8 and Urus both come equipped with a massive 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine.
This motor is capable of producing 640 bhp and 850 Nm of torque. All of the power is distributed to all four wheels with the help of an AWD system. As for the gearbox, it gets an 8-speed automatic transmission. Also, despite being an SUV, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds, which is extremely impressive and enters the supercar territory.
In terms of features, the Audi RSQ8 comes loaded with a 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit with an exclusive shift light indicator. Its MMI interface also includes features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Wi-Fi connectivity, a 4G hotspot, and many others. It also comes with Matrix LED headlights and 23-inch 6-Y twin-spoke alloy wheels. The Audi RSQ8 was launched by Neeraj Chopra himself earlier this year.
