Each and every day, there are thousands of dashcam videos that are shared online. A lot of times, they show very normal accidents; however, every once in a while, we come across a video that makes us question the road safety norms of this country. In this most recent video, a bike was seen crashing into a car on a village road. Initially, it seemed like there were only two people on the bike. However, upon a closer look, it was noted that there were four people on the bike.
This video showing four people on a bike crashing into a car has been shared on X by Shantanu Goel on their page. In this short dashcam footage, we can note that a car was driving at a speed of around 50–55 km/h on a narrow village road. Soon after this, what happens is that it reaches a three-way turn.

It can then be observed that there was a bike coming from the left side of the turn. Initially, it appears that there were only two people on the bike. However, when the biker fails to move away and the car driver is left with no space on the left side to avoid hitting the bike, the crash between the two takes place.

What happens after the impact is that the bike rider first falls on the bonnet. But soon after that, we can note that there was not one but a total of three more pillions on the bike. There were two women and a young girl. In the clip, all four individuals can be seen falling onto the bonnet after the crash.
Thankfully, all four people, including the young girl, did not suffer any major injuries due to this crash. We can note that the car driver immediately came out of the vehicle and started checking on the people who crashed. A few other people who were passing by also stopped to look at the situation.
The above incident is a prime example of the lack of obedience to road safety norms. Most people in India think that they can do whatever they want when it comes to driving on public roads. They believe that just because there is no police officer watching them, they will not have to suffer any consequences.

We understand that it is true that there will not always be law enforcement officers to make sure that road safety rules are being followed. However, this does not mean that there cannot be other incidents on the road. The above video shows that riding a bike without proper safety gear and carrying more than the allowed capacity only results in accidents.
Unfortunately, no matter how many times such incidents are shared online, the public has the memory of a goldfish. They easily forget such incidents and continue violating rules as usual. This is why each and every day, we share the message here at Cartoq that traffic and road safety rules have been made to keep everyone safe, and following them will reward you with your life.
