Performing stunts on public roads with cars and bikes is illegal, and this is something which everyone is aware of. However, despite knowing this, a lot of people still perform stunts to get attention from the public. Unfortunately, sometimes things can go south, and recently a video of one such incident has been shared online. What happened was that recently, in Hyderabad’s Hi-tech City area, a modified Honda City, which was revving excessively at a show, got completely vandalized by the police authorities.
The video showing the Honda City revving with hundreds of people around it has been shared on Instagram by Sairam Naidu on their page. In this short clip, we can note that a gold-colored Honda City first-generation model was making excessive noise with its modified exhaust. We can observe that this particular car was also equipped with aftermarket alloy wheels, a spoiler, and other modifications.
It can be seen that there were around hundreds of people around this car who were recording it while it was revving and making pops and bangs. As per the reports, this particular incident took place around Cafe Niloufer in the Hi-tech City area, which comes under the jurisdiction of Raidurgam Police Station. The video shows that the Honda City was stopped and was revving, and it was not performing any burnout or racing.
Another video of this incident has been shared online in which we can note that there were four police officers who arrived at the location where this Honda City was revving excessively. What happened next was that one of the cops was sitting on a motorcycle, while the other cop was standing in front of the Honda City. Soon after this, when the cop was trying to stop the vehicle, the car driver started driving ahead.
As a result, the cop in front of the car, who had a baton in his hand, directly hit the windshield of the car. As a result, his baton also shattered. After this, the car driver tried escaping from the situation. However, he could not escape. Instead, at the turn, he hit a police Toyota Innova Crysta interceptor vehicle, and soon after this, a lot more cops with batons arrived and started hitting this Honda City from all sides.

We can observe that both the front and the rear windshields of this sedan were broken. During this altercation, the cops opened the driver-side door and also kicked the driver. The front passenger from the City tried escaping by running. However, he was also caught by another cop, after which the driver was taken out of the car and arrested.
From the video, it can be noted that the police authorities managed to completely vandalize the Honda City in the video. Now, it has to be mentioned that this is extremely wrong, as the authorities do not have the right to destroy any vehicle on public roads. They can seize a vehicle, arrest the driver, impose heavy fines, and even register criminal charges if any laws are violated.

However, damaging a private vehicle in anger is not legal. As per reports, the cops claimed that the driver tried to flee from the spot after being asked to stop. Because of this, the situation quickly escalated, and things got out of control. However, many people online are now criticizing the behaviour of the police officers and are questioning whether such excessive force was actually necessary in this case.
There are a lot of reports in which the Hyderabad police have also stated that the car in the video was racing and was endangering lives. However, from the video which has been shared online, it can be noted that the car was simply revving and making loud pops and bangs while being surrounded by the public, who were recording the video. There was no racing involved in this particular case, as it was an exhibition car show.
