Most people go to Goa to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches and lovely weather. However, there are some people who, after reaching Goa, like to create chaos. A lot of times, these people get away with their nuisance. However, on a few occasions, they also get caught by the authorities. Recently, a video has been shared online in which a modified Ford Mustang sports car with an extremely loud exhaust was seen under the seizure of the Goa Police.
The video showing the seized modified Ford Mustang has been shared on YouTube by In Goa 24X7 on their page. In this short clip, we can note that a yellow-colored Ford Mustang was parked at the impound lot of the Anjuna Police. The police officer in the video revs the car to demonstrate the excessive loudness of this Mustang's modified exhaust.

As per PSI Viraj Naik, this particular Ford Mustang, which has a registration number from Punjab, has been seized by them. The main reason behind its seizure was continuous complaints that they were receiving from the local people near Anjuna Beach. They highlighted that the vehicle used to be driven rashly and recklessly in the area.
Also, it has been mentioned by Naik that the vehicle is privately registered; however, it is being rented by the owner to tourists. He added that they had been observing the vehicle and its complaints over six months. Recently, while it was on a speed run on the coastal belt, they nabbed the driver, who was a tourist. Currently, the vehicle has been seized, and a complaint will be filed against the owner.

A number of sports car owners and other modified car owners add aftermarket exhausts to their cars to make them loud. This is mostly done to make sure that their vehicles catch the eyeballs of the public. However, in most cases, these cars catch the attention of police authorities, who quickly nab such vehicles and their owners.
In India, it is against the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989, to modify the exhaust of a car to make it louder. In most cases, after these vehicles are caught by the authorities, they are seized, following which the owners are asked to remove the aftermarket exhausts and install the original factory exhausts.

This is not the first time that we have seen Goa Police taking action against loud exhausts. A little while ago, Panaji Traffic Police conducted a drive against motorcycles fitted with loud silencers, following which they managed to detain six motorcycles fitted with loud exhausts at Taleigao.
There were two Continental GT 650s, two Interceptor 650s, and two Hunter 350s with these loud aftermarket exhausts. Also, all of the bikes, along with modified exhausts, had modified headlights as well.

Prior to this crackdown, back in February 2023, Goa Police managed to seize around 40 motorcycles with modified exhausts. They also registered 45 cases involving these motorcycles. Over the last few years, Goa Police has regularly been conducting such drives to make sure that the peace and harmony of the state do not get disturbed by tourists who visit during vacations.
