Mahindra Thar is one of the popular lifestyle SUVs currently on sale in the Indian market. It is also one of those SUVs that has managed to get a lot of bad reputation among people. There have been many instances where Thar owners or drivers were caught doing stunts and terrorising people on the road. Even cops take note of such acts and take necessary action against the culprits. Here we have a video where a 14-year-old kid driving a Mahindra Thar intentionally crashes into police barricades and does stunts on a public road. The father of the kid apologized after the cops took action and seized the vehicle.
The video has been shared on Reddit and many other social media platforms. The incident happened in Uttar Pradesh’s capital, Lucknow. In this video, we see a black Mahindra Thar hitting a police barricade placed on the road. The driver of the SUV is intentionally hitting the barricade and not only does he hit it but also knocks it down.
After this, we see the Thar driver doing stunts on the same road. He tries to lift the front of the SUV by accelerating hard. He drives the SUV in a reckless manner and clearly he was doing it for the sake of publicity on social media.
The video has been posted online with a viral song which glorifies such acts. After the Mahindra Thar stunt, we also come across another clip where the same person is seen standing out of a Mahindra Scorpio Classic with the co-driver side door open. He is clearly posing for a video and has kept one of his feet on the door bottle holder.
This is actually a dangerous stunt and there were many things that could have gone wrong. He could have fallen off the vehicle and got himself injured. The door could also slam into other vehicles or objects on the road, injuring and damaging other things.
After the video went viral, cops started looking for the culprits and using the vehicle details, they managed to trace the owner and driver of the vehicle. It looks like the cops took the vehicle into custody and the kids who were behind this stunt were also probably detained.
After the video went viral, another video came online where the father of the 14-year-old boy seen in the video is seen apologising to the cops and people on camera. He mentions that he didn’t know that his son was doing such stunts in the car. He also promised the cops that he will make sure that the kid doesn’t do such acts in the future.
Doing such stunts on public roads for the sake of gaining popularity on the internet is extremely stupid. The young boy was risking his own life along with the lives of other innocent road users.
Underage driving is also an offence. We are not sure whether the parent of the kid is booked for letting the kid drive the vehicle. He also damaged public property, which is also an offence. If you really want to do such stunts, take your vehicle to a private ground or track where, with the help of experienced trainers, you can learn and do such stunts in a safe and controlled environment.
