Mahindra BE6 is one of the uniquely designed electric vehicles on sale in India. It was launched last year and quickly gained buyers’ attention due to its aggressive styling and pricing. We have seen people modify the Mahindra BE6 and even do stunts with it. However, here we have a video where a BE6 owner is seen utilizing the frunk of the EV for a very unique purpose. He uses the frunk as a large container to make a cocktail during his camping trip.
The video has been shared by Atul Singh on his Instagram page. In this video, we see a Mahindra BE6 parked at a scenic picnic spot surrounded by mountains. The exact location is not known, but it looks somewhere up in the North. The car is registered in Uttarakhand.
In the video, the bonnet of the BE6 is kept open. It initially felt like the group was carrying essentials for their picnic trip in the frunk. As EVs do not have an engine, most of them have a storage space in the front, which is called a frunk. The frunk on the BE6 is open, and we see the owner and his friends putting cut fruits into it.
While this was happening on one side, the rest of the group was cooking dinner. They were actually using an LPG cylinder to cook food because the BE6 and XUV 9E from Mahindra do not offer a V2L feature. They were cooking the food in a conventional manner while the drinks were being prepared in an unconventional way. Instead of mixing the fruits and the alcohol in a container, they turned the frunk of the BE6 into one.

The cut fruits, alcohol, and juices were all poured into the frunk, and they mixed it inside the frunk itself. We even see the owner tasting the drink before serving it to others. Once the recipe was done, they were seen enjoying the drinks. They were simply dipping the glass into the frunk, filling it, and enjoying the cocktail.
Another interesting feature that Mahindra is offering with their EVs is the party mode. The LED DRLs, headlamps, turn indicators, and even the LED tail lamps start blinking according to the beat of the music played through the inbuilt system. While it may look like fun, we wouldn’t recommend anyone to do such things in a public place.
If the owner and his friends were partying at a designated picnic spot, it was fine; otherwise, it is an offence. He can do the same at a private property where the group is not disturbing or causing inconvenience to others.
The Mahindra BE6 offers a small 45-litre frunk. It comes with two battery pack options, and we are assuming that the car seen here is the top-end Pack 3 variant. The Mahindra BE6 is only available in RWD format, and the manufacturer is also working on a much more rugged or off-road-friendly version of the BE6 based on the Rall-E concept that they showcased some time ago.
