Mahindra Automotive launched the BE 6 Formula E Edition back in November 2025 with a price tag of Rs 23.69 lakh. Now, finally, after three months of waiting, the company has commenced the deliveries of this special edition model in India. Recently, a video of the first delivery of the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition has been shared online.
This video of the surprise delivery of India's first Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition has been shared on Instagram by Its Mahesh Rathi on their page. It starts off with a family entering the Mahindra dealership, where a red-colored BE 6 Formula E Edition was parked at the front. Following this, the family members gather around this vehicle and start checking it out.
It can be seen that the youngest member of the family was extremely excited to see the vehicle and was talking about it with his father and other relatives. Soon after, what happens is that the father continues to have a chat with the dealership staff and, after some time, he comes back with the key to this vehicle. He then nonchalantly comes and hands over the key to his son.
The young man then starts laughing with excitement, and soon after the handover of the key by his father, confetti was popped to celebrate this surprise. After this, the video then shows the young man taking blessings from everyone in the family before the official key handover ceremony was completed.
As mentioned, the official launch of the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition took place back in November of last year. This special edition of the BE 6 has been launched in two variants, namely FE2 and FE3. The FE2 has an ex-showroom price of Rs 23.69 lakh. The FE3 variant is slightly more expensive, at Rs 24.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
Bookings of the BE 6 Formula E Edition commenced earlier this year on January 14. This particular edition has been launched by Mahindra to commemorate the success of the brand in the single-seat racing of electric cars, which we all know as Formula E. Basically, it is the electrified version of Formula 1, and Mahindra Racing is one of the prominent teams in this motorsport.
In terms of the design differences of the Formula E-inspired BE 6 Formula E Edition, at the front, it gets circular bi-LED projector headlamps, a more aggressive front bumper with Firestorm Orange accents, and a distinctive 12-stripe graphic on the bonnet. The significance of these stripes is that they represent Mahindra’s seasons in Formula E.
As mentioned, the BE 6 Formula E Edition is being offered in two variants, namely FE2 and FE3. The former offers 19-inch alloy wheels, meanwhile the latter offers 20-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, this special edition model gets Firestorm Orange-themed upholstery, translucent door panels, and a race-car-inspired flip-cap cover for the start/stop button.
Powering the BE 6 Formula E Edition is a 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque-generating electric motor. What makes this electric SUV unique is that all the power is sent to the rear wheels, making it a super fun-to-drive vehicle. As for the battery pack, this special edition model is only being offered with the bigger 79 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 682 km.
