Recently, the billionaire owner of Kalyan Silks, often described as the largest silk saree showroom network in the world, made headlines by buying two expensive cars back-to-back- a 2.57-crore Range Rover Autobiography LWB and a Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica LP640-2 that has an ex-showroom price of 4.04 Crores. Now, a content creator has shared a video tour of this garage on Instagram.
As the clip opens, we see the Instagrammer gifting Advaith Kalyan, the youngest heir to Kalyan Silks, a Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Hot Wheels. He says that he couldn’t source a Huracan Hot wheels, and thus had to settle for a Sesto Elemento instead- such a warm gesture between two car enthusiasts.
Advaith then gives a quick tour of his garage. We see a long line-up of cars- the newly-bought Huracan Tecnica, a Mercedes Maybach S680, Mini Countryman EV, Volkswagen Golf 8.5, Bentley Continental, Toyota Vellfire, and a Land Cruiser.

Interestingly, it is none of these that the two talk about first in the video. The conversation begins by detailing a Segway that’s parked between the Mini and the Golf. It seems to be a Segway Ninebot S-Max (selling for about Rs 72.3K on Amazon). Advaith says that he uses it for commuting within the Sobha City- the posh township in Thrissur, where he has his home.

Soon after this, the young billionaire talks about their latest acquisition- the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica. He says that the car is very aggressive and has a Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) layout. The Tecnica, in fact, has the STO-borrowed V10 engine that makes the same 640hp and 565 Nm. It goes from 0-100kph in just 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 325 kph.
Advaith adds that one has to be really careful while driving it on public roads. He also says that the Tecnica feels much more comfortable when compared to older-generation Lambos. He likes how stable the car feels at high speeds. As we told in our previous story, Lamborghini has crafted a beautiful blend of the STO’s brutal performance and EVO’s road friendliness, in the Tecnica.

He then talks about the Maybach. He says that Kalyan was the first to buy the Maybach S680 in Kerala. This car has the elegant Rubellite Red exterior colour scheme. He says that it is very comfortable to travel in and delivers good performance as well.
It houses a 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V12 under the hood. This engine comes mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and produces 603 hp. The model here, seems to have had an ex-showroom price of over 3.47 Crores, before options!
Advaith then says that he rarely drives the Mini Countryman EV, despite the car being in their garage for around a year. It is mostly driven by his mom. Mini had launched the Countryman electric in India in October 2024, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 55 lakh.

Interestingly, the Range Rover Autobiography LWB is not seen in this video. This luxury SUV is likely being used by the chairman T.S Pattabhiraman himself, and he may not have been around when this video was filmed.

In the past, we have seen the Kalyan Silks chairman with several other expensive cars. He has had a BMW 3 series (likely a 335i) in his garage, a Land Rover Defender 110, and even a BMW XM. Advaith’s Instagram handle has pictures of some of these, especially the XM. Long back, the chairman also owned an older generation Rolls-Royce Ghost.
