Maruti Jimny is an extremely capable and underrated 4x4 SUV that is currently on sale in the Indian market. When compared to Mahindra Thar, Maruti Jimny hasn’t been doing very well in terms of numbers. However those who realised the potential of this particular SUV have already bought it. We have also started seeing many videos where people have modified their Jimny SUVs. Here we have a modified Jimny with a unique modification in it. It is India’s first Jimny to get an air suspension.
The video has been posted by Advven on their Instagram page. They are a Bangalore-based garage that work on 4x4s. The video seen here shows a Maruti Jimny that has been heavily customised. Initially when you look at the video, it feels like the car gets modifications like a wrap and aftermarket alloy wheels.
However a few seconds into the video, you realise it is not the normal suspension setup that we usually see on the road. This SUV has been completely customised for comfort and capability. The SUV as seen here in the video gets aftermarket wheels with off-road spec tyres.
Other than that the Jimny also gets a metal roof rack, off-road spec front bumper, winch, shackles and more. However the reason why we decided to feature this SUV on our website is because of the air suspension.
We have seen many do such modifications on their cars in the past. However, this is the first time we have seen an air suspension upgrade on a Jimny in India. The air suspension conversion kit used on the Jimny here is from Airbag Man brand.

The air suspension kit claims to offer effortless control, plush comfort, and smart adaptability. It can adjust the height on the go and the driver can actually increase or decrease the height depending on the place where he is driving it.
In the video, we see the Jimny gliding over the uneven surfaces on the off-road section. The air suspension kit consists of two parts. One is kit essentials and the other is the optional extras. In the kit essentials you have front airbag setup, rear airbag setup, upgraded shock absorbers, Airbag Man compressor, control kit and digital gauges. In the customisable options or extra kit you get rocker switches, digital gauges, wireless control kit, fitting kits, Airbag Man compressor, Airbag Man solenoid.
As you would already know, this conversion kit replaces the original coil springs and uses the aftermarket components to upgrade the ride.
If you are interested in getting your Maruti Jimny customised with such mods, you would naturally be interested in knowing the price of this kit. Well, if you want to do such a modification on your stock vehicle, it is going to be slightly expensive. It would easily cost around Rs 3.4 lakh including everything.
However if you already have an aftermarket suspension and an air compressor, the conversion will cost you around Rs 2 lakh. Like any modification, the airbag conversion kit price also varies depending on the number of things you choose to do with the car.
