The advent of generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) has made digital imaginations easier than ever. It has given artists the freedom and space to visualise anything and everything digitally. Automotive artists across the world are increasingly using AI to render concepts that we wish were real. One such example imagines the Hindustan Ambassador as a luxury electric car, serving as a VIP vehicle. It is portrayed as a car used by some minister and is shown in the backdrop of what looks like the parliament.
Back in its day, the Ambassador was often seen as the ‘politician’s car’. It was inducted into the official fleets of several ministers and politicians. The vehicle in these images, is seen with the national flag mounted on the hood, a beacon light on top of its roof and a 'VIP board'. This may not be a flawless render. There are minor flaws in it. What needs to be appreciated is the way this artist has imagined the Ambassador as a luxury EV.
The artist, Rishav Kumar, envisions it as a rival to Rolls Royce and Bentley cars. Like the original model, the Ambassador EV also has a solid road presence. The original Ambassador, however, was an affordable model, and nowhere near the British luxury brands.

Look at these renders now. These images show the front, side and rear views of the vehicle. In some of these pictures, the EV is seen parked near the original Ambassador. The design seems to have evolved a lot. There’s a strong sense of sophistication to the way it has been designed.
The front fascia may remind you of some Bentley models. You can see circular LED headlamps, with integrated LED DRLs. Like the original sedan, the indicator lamps here are circular units as well. The original Ambassador had a large rectangular chrome-plated grille. The EV, however, has an interesting reimagination- a closed-off grille with Satin surrounds and a vertical strip through the centre.

The front bumper has an interesting design as well. It is finished in body colour and houses the number plate. There is a stylish air vent/ air channel as well. Our favourite design element here is the creases on the bonnet. The original Amby had these. In many previous cases, we have seen artists overlooking this. The car here, has a dual-tone colour scheme. The upper portion is finished in Black.
The side view clearly reflects being an evolution of the original Ambassador’s design. The car gets Rolls-Royce style wheels. You’ll also see a fender ornament. In some of these images, we see the rendered version to have suicide doors. In others, it has regular doors. This appears to be an inconsistency in the render. The suicide doors look great on the car and add to its luxury quotient. Plus, the door handles are flush type units, and the EV gets cameras instead of rearview mirrors.

Even at the rear, the design looks like an evolution of the original car’s. The rear bumper is finished in body colour and has a dark-coloured scuff plate. There is an air of curviness to this design, especially at the rear. The tail lamps appear to draw inspiration from Rolls-Royce design cues. The rear windscreen has a gently sloping rake. Overall, there is a strong focus on aerodynamics.
In some of these images, we can see the car’s interior. It has a pleasant Beige and off-White colour scheme, and a generous use of premium trims.

These renders have gained a lot of attention online. The internet loved this imagination. Even famous automotive artists have shown up in the comments section. ‘Amazing. The official mantri car. This should be built.’ - wrote SRK Designs. ‘The silhouette and the rear is totally blending, I wish you had retained the fins and the prominent front fender’- commented another user.
