We have come across several videos online where wild animals have come out from the jungle and have created chaos on the roads and in areas where people live. This clash between the forest and civilization has been a talking point for a very long time. We have several reserve forests in India, and there are roads that pass through these areas. We often hear reports about wild animals getting hurt or killed by vehicles passing through these roads. Here we have a video where a tigress, who lost her cub in a road accident, charges at motorists passing through the spot.
The video has been shared by Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra, on their Instagram page. The video was recorded from a car that was passing through this stretch. The SUV was actually monitoring the area after there were reports of tiger spotting.
There was a scooter rider behind the car who had taken cover. The driver of the SUV slowly rolled the window down and asked him to move cautiously. It looks like they had spotted the tiger but were trying to move away without disturbing her.

As soon as the scooter passed the car, the tigress charged. The scooter rider escaped from the spot, but the car was still there. The tigress then charged at the car a couple of times and then ran back into the jungle.
We went through the comment section of the video and found that the tigress seen here in the video is called the K-Mark Tigress, and she was attacking bikers and scooter riders near Chichpalli Road, Keslaghat Gate, in the tiger reserve.
The comments also mention that the reason why the tigress is attacking or charging at vehicles here is because she had recently lost a cub in a road accident at the same spot a few days ago. The comment says the cub was run over by a truck, but we cannot confirm the same.
Another comment says that the tigress was protecting her other cubs and that is why she was behaving in this manner. Tigers are extremely territorial, and when they are with their cubs, they are highly protective and can attack people as well.

It looks like the tigress was still looking for the cub that was run over, and that was the reason why she was roaming in the area. Just like any wild animal, they can identify objects using scent, and that is probably how she might have ended up at the spot.
It is because of these risks that authorities ask motorists to avoid driving or traveling through such roads at night. In this case, the tigress didn’t attack anyone, but things could have easily gone south, and people could have gotten hurt. The best thing to do in such cases is to stay calm and, if possible, control traffic in the region and also inform authorities about the situation so that they can take necessary action.
Never provoke or make loud noises, use bright lights, or loud exhausts in such areas, as it might scare the animal and provoke it to attack even more.
