Celebrities are known to lead a lavish lifestyle. They often buy expensive cars and regularly update their garages to match their fame. One name that has been surfacing in Bollywood lately is director Atlee. He is a filmmaker who predominantly worked in Tamil cinema earlier. However, he shot to nationwide fame after the movie Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan. Since then, Atlee has become a well-known face in Bollywood. It looks like he recently bought himself a luxury car, and it is not a Mercedes-Benz but a Rolls-Royce Spectre EV.
The video has been shared by Insanely Luxurious Indians on their YouTube channel. In the video, we see a black-coloured Rolls-Royce Spectre parked outside the terminal building at Mumbai airport. The car comes to a stop, and director Atlee opens the door and steps out from the co-driver’s side.
Atlee greets the vloggers and paparazzi waiting for him, who then click pictures and record videos. The short clip ends there. The reason the video went viral is simply because of the car in which Atlee arrived.
Atlee is probably the only Indian movie director at the moment who owns a Rolls-Royce Spectre. Apart from the car, the video also mentions that the director is wearing an expensive watch. It claims that Atlee is wearing a Richard Mille RM 65-01 Titanium watch, which costs around Rs 3.5 crore.
For those who don’t know, the Rolls-Royce Spectre is a special car. It is the British luxury car manufacturer’s first fully electric vehicle. This is a two-door luxury electric coupe, and like any Rolls-Royce model, it is filled to the brim with premium, ultra-luxury features.
The Rolls-Royce seen in the video is finished in a black shade, and it appears to have a coachline that matches the interior colour. We also get a brief glimpse of the interior, which looks like it is finished in a dark tan or brown shade.
The exact details of the customisations are not known, as the video does not offer a detailed view of the vehicle.
Unlike many other brands, Rolls-Royce has not compromised on design for its EVs. The Spectre looks similar to other models in the brand’s lineup. It retains the signature Rolls-Royce grille with the Spirit of Ecstasy on the bonnet. On the EV, the grille is illuminated.
The colour of the bonnet and grille can be customised as per customer preferences. The coupe-like sloping roofline flows into the tailgate, and at the rear, the Spectre gets distinctive-looking tail-lamps. Rolls-Royce cars are known for their extremely silent cabins, and the Spectre is no exception.
The Rolls-Royce Spectre is powered by a 102 kWh battery pack that drives an electric motor producing 593 PS and 900 Nm of peak torque. The electric coupe has a claimed range of 520 km. Being an EV, the Spectre can sprint from 0–100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds, which is impressive for a car weighing around 3 tonnes. Prices for a brand-new Rolls-Royce Spectre start at Rs 7.5 crore, ex-showroom.
