Amitabh Bachchan Drives His BMW i7 EV To Dharmendra's House [Video]
Amitabh Bachchan is one of the biggest names in the Bollywood film industry. Big B of Bollywood is known for his roles in hundreds of movies, and like most actors, he also owns a variety of expensive cars in his garage. Usually, these actors are chauffeured in their cars. However, we have now come across a video where Amitabh Bachchan is seen driving his BMW i7 electric luxury sedan. He is driving the car to meet his friend and veteran actor Dharmendra, who was recently discharged from the hospital.
The video has been circulating online on various social media platforms. We have seen Amitabh Bachchan travel in his expensive cars on several occasions, but this time around, things are slightly different as Amitabh himself is behind the steering wheel.
As per the video seen here, the actor was driving his BMW i7 electric car to Dharmendra’s home in Mumbai. The actor was hospitalised after his health deteriorated a few days ago. There were even fake news reports claiming that Dharmendra had passed away. Dharmendra’s family responded to these fake reports and told the media that the actor was recovering and responding to medicines.
Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra had played the roles of Jai and Veeru in the iconic Bollywood movie Sholay. It was a role that became a definition of friendship and is admired by many even today. So when Jai decided to meet Veeru at his home, the paparazzi decided to celebrate the moment.
We see paps mobbing the car driven by the actor, making things challenging for him. The actor somehow manages to drive the car forward. The car seen here in the video is the BMW i7 electric luxury sedan. It is the electric version of the BMW 7-Series, and it became a popular choice among celebrities in a very short span of time.
The actor had bought this car back in October 2024. Usually, we have seen celebrities go for the silver shade on this sedan, but Amitabh Bachchan decided to do things differently. He bought the sedan in a dual-tone shade of Adventure Red Metallic and Oxide Grey.
The car offers a host of luxury features like a curved display for the infotainment and the instrument cluster, as well as a 31.3-inch 8K cinema screen mounted on the car’s roof that can be folded down. Additionally, the rear doors feature a 5.5-inch touchscreen to control the infotainment, climate control, and seats. Other features include multi-zone climate control, leather seats, electrically adjustable seats with memory and massage functions, and more.
The car seen here is the i7 Drive50 variant, which comes with a massive 101.7 kWh battery pack. The power is sent to two electric motors—one at the front axle and the other at the rear. The electric sedan generates 544 PS and 745 Nm of peak torque. As this is a dual-motor sedan, the power is sent to all four wheels.
It has a top speed of 250 kmph and, like most EVs, is quick too. It can do 0–100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds. The massive battery pack offers a claimed range of 560 km.
Amitabh is not the first actor from Bollywood to buy a BMW i7. Actors like Rekha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kim Sharma, Shekhar, and Ajay Devgn also own a BMW i7. In fact, actress Rekha was one of the celebrities to be actually spotted with this luxury electric sedan.
