Today, if you want to buy a BMW X5 luxury SUV, you'll have to spend around Rs 1.31 crore. However, what if you already own a 2015 BMW X5 and don't want to sell it for less than one-fourth of its original price and still want to get the new model? Well, in this case, you can get your car fitted with an aftermarket facelift body kit and also get a fully customised interior by spending only a fraction of the price of the new model.
Recently, the popular body shop Autorounders has shared a video on YouTube in which they have converted a 2015 BMW X5 into a brand-new 2025 model. For those who may not be aware, Autorounders is one of the most popular and premium shops which helps owners of popular cars with getting their cars fully customised from old to new and also getting them painted with professional quality.
This time around, the owner of the shop mentions that they received a 2015 F15 generation BMW X5 in their shop for old-to-new conversion. He mentioned that the owner has opted for an imported aftermarket body kit which completely transforms the old car into new. He mentions that they will be changing the front bonnet, bumper, LED headlights, grille, and fenders.

Additionally, the alloy wheels and the rear bumper along with taillights will also be changed. He added that the owner has also opted for a complete color change. He highlighted that they will be painting it in a shade of factory BMW blue color.
Following this, he then shows the body kit which they imported from China. The owner of the shop mentions that before importing any body kit, they first go to China and visit the factories. They then import only the kits which they have checked for the quality.

After the introduction, the video then shows the BMW X5 getting disassembled. The front bonnet, bumper, fenders, and other parts get removed, and then the new parts get fitted onto the body to check for panel gaps and fitment. It can be noted that the fitment of this kit was near-perfect. Soon after which, the vehicle then goes into the paint booth for final painting after the bodywork was completed.

Finally, after the painting process, the complete vehicle was assembled. It can be noted that the before-and-after results are shocking. The car looks like a brand-new X5 which has just come out of the dealership. The quality of the job is outstanding. The owner highlights that apart from the exterior, the entire interior has been reupholstered as well.

He mentions that they have used genuine Nappa leather which has been imported from Italy. They have also given the seats the same design and stitching as the factory to make sure that the fitment looks just like the original car. The owner adds that they have added an aftermarket Android-based screen on the dashboard, a crystal gear knob, and two tablets behind the headrests.

Converting an old car into new using a high-quality aftermarket body kit makes a lot of sense. Today, cars are becoming extremely expensive, and not everyone thinks it's a good idea to invest in a depreciating asset every couple of years. So a lot of people are now going for such conversions as they cost a lot less than selling an old car and then buying a new car and losing 50 percent of its value in just a couple of years, especially when it's a luxury car.
